The descendants of William Heafy and Catherine Hurley, of Co. Waterford. One son named Michael married Johanna Boland from Co. Tipperary in 1840 and established his family in Ste-Brigitte-de-Laval. Among his descendants are the Heafey families in the Gatineau valley and the Hayfield families in the Québec City area.
