There is no trace of John Mahon (Mahone) and his wife Mary Corcoran coming to Canada, but at least 5 of their children settled in SBDL and St-Dunstan. They came from Co. Offaly, then know as King's. It seems they were close to the Scully and Mooney families, who also came from the same area.
-Anthony (1795-1867) married Eliza Halpenny in 1839 in SBDL, and then Marie Scott, in 1848 in NDQC. Some of the children changed the name to Malone.
-Bernard or Barney (1807-1878) married Mary Collins or Cullen (1810) in 1833 NDQC. He did not settle in SBDL.
- Patrick (1809-?) does not seem to have married, but was present at one of his brother's marriage.
-Ann Angela's presence is attested in her presence at a sibling's marriage.
- Dennis (1812-1873), married Honore Meehan in 1832 NDQC, and then Sarah Bannegan in 1838, Charlesbourg. This family moved to the Chateauguay area, and also became known as McMahon. Many descendants moved to the US, notably in Colorado.
